Product Overview
The 1769-IF16V is an Allen-Bradley module compatible for use with MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix family of controllers. The module feature 16 voltage inputs configurable to receive a variety of voltage signal inputs such as +/10VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC. The input module allows signal full ranges of +/- 10.5 VDC, 0.5 - 5.25 VDC, -0.5 - +5.25VDC, -0.5 - +10.5VDC respectively. It has a built in Analog to digital (ADC) circuitry which convert the analog signal to binary format for signal for processing and storage to the PLC register. The stored converted signal may be configured as engineering units, scaled for PID, percent range and raw data.
The 1769-IF16V supports configuration using RSLogix 500, RSLogix5000 or Studio 5000 programming software depending on the controller used. Specifically, MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers respectively.
Input channels may be configured individually to receive specific voltage signals. This feature enables flexibility of the modules as the Sixteen (16) channels may operate independently and differently. Process alarms may also be defined by specifying the signal reference high and low alarm parameters. Other important parameters configurable to fine tune the module include input filters, real time sampling, alarm deadband and others. Open circuit detection is activated with any enabled channels. This setting is reported as under-range error of the module. This event can be made known to the controller and display as a non-fatal system error.
The module is installed within Eight (8) modules form the power supply. Should the machine or process require more than 8 instances of module, use any compatible power supply to act as I/O power supply.
Install the module by locating the guide slots of the adjacent module. Slide the module and establish alignment of the bus connectors. Once bus connectors are aligned, move the bus lever to the left until a clicking sound is created.
VIIIVThe 1769-IF16V is a high-density voltage input module that can accept a variety of voltage signal within the range of 0-10VDC. It can be used with CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 controller platform.
