The 1769-IF4 is used with Allen Bradleys MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix family of controllers. This module has Four (4) input channels, each configurable to receive current and voltage signals. Configurable current signals are 0-20 mA and 4-20mA with full ranges of 0-21 mA and 3.2 - 21 mA. Configurable voltage signals available are +/10VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC with full ranges of +/- 10.5 VDC, 0.5 - 5.25 VDC, -0.5 - +5.25VDC, -0.5 - +10.5VDC respectively. The module has an Analog to Digital (ADC) circuit that converts the stored analog data to digital signal for processing. The data processed received by the module can be configured as engineering units, scaled for PID, percent range and raw data.
Configure the 1769-IF4 RSLogix 500 if used with a MicroLogix 1500 controller or RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000 programming if used with a CompactLogix controller. Individual channel configuration can be performed in the software including setting of process alarms, input filters, real time sampling, alarm deadband and others. All enabled channels have open-circuit detection that activates the under-range error bit of the module. This event can be made known to the controller and display a non-fatal system error.
Install as many 1769-IF4 as required. Any instance of the module should be within 8 modules from the power supply. It can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis.
Install the module by locating the guide slots of the adjacent module. Slide the module and establish alignment of the bus connectors. Once bus connectors are aligned, move the bus lever to the left until a clicking sound is created.
VIIIVThe 1769-IF4 is a compact Four (4) channel analog input module. This module is capable of receiving current and voltage signals.
