The 1769-IF4I is an Analog input module capable of receiving current and voltage signals. This module is compatible with Allen Bradleys MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix family of controllers. It features Four (4) individually isolated input channels, that can be wired as single ended or differential inputs. The module also supports mixed transmitter inputs. Individually isolated channels allow wiring of signals with different power sources and potentials.
The 1769-IF4I specifically accepts current signals such as 0-20 mA and 4-20mA with full signal ranges of 0-21 mA and 3.2 - 21 mA. Compatible voltage signals are +/10VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC with full signal ranges of +/- 10.5 VDC, 0.5 - 5.25 VDC, -0.5 - +5.25VDC, -0.5 - +10.5VDC respectively. Regardless of the input type, the received analog input is converted to binary signal by the integral Analog to Digital (ADC) circuit. The data processed by the module can be configured as engineering units, scaled for PID, percent range and raw data and stored at the Central Processing Units (CPU) registers.
The 1769-IF4I configuration is done using the RSLogix 500, RSLogix5000 or Studio 5000 programming software. Individual channel configuration can be performed including setting of process alarms, input filters, real time sampling, alarm deadband and others. Open circuit detection is automatically activated on every enabled channel. This feature triggers the under-range error bit of the module once active. The processor can be configured to report this event and record in the diagnostic buffer for troubleshooting.
The module can also be used with a MicroLogix 1500 controller as an expansion module. It is installed after the base unit of the MicroLogix controller and connects to the communication bus via a ribbon cable. Install as many 1769-IF4I as required. The module must be installed not more than 8 modules away from the power supply. It can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis.
VIIIVThe 1769-IF4I is a compact Four (4) channel analog input module which can be used with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers. Each channel is individually isolated and capable of receiving current and voltage signals.
