Product Overview
The 1769-IR6 is an RTD and Resistance input module that belongs to the 1769 Compact I/o modules. This module is compatible with MicroLogix 1500, CompactLogix family of controllers. It may also be installed on remote IO chassis with adapters such as 1769-ADN DeviceNet adapter and 1769-AENTR Ethernet adapter.
This module support Six (6) RTD instruments with RTD types Copper 426, Nickel 618, Nickel 672, Nickel-Iron 518, Platinum 385, Platinum 3916. This module is configurable for use with The inputs are configurable to 2, 3 and 4 wire RTDs. For 4-wire RTD, one of the compensation wires will not be used. The module also accepts direct resistance signal measurements such as 150??, 500 ?, 1000 ? and 3000 ?. The module through its Analog to Digital converter circuit translates the resistance measurement to digital values. These values are acceptable through the modules data table.
The modules channels are capable of sensing open circuit, short-circuit and over and under-range sensor detection. Each of the channel filters are individually configured with filtering frequency options 10 Hz 50 Hz 60 Hz 250 Hz 500 Hz 1 kHz. For direct resistance measurement, the module supports 150 ?, 500 ?, 1000 ?, 3000 ?. Direct resistance measurements when used with the module is assumed to be linear in nature.
The channels are individually configured using the RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 or Studio5000 programming software, depending on the controller used.
Autocalibration is performed by the module once enabled. This autocalibration feature is cyclic and can be programmed to repeat every Five (5) minutes. This feature can be disabled by accessing Word 6 Bit 0 of the modules data table.
