Product Overview
The 1769-L30ERM is a CompactLogix controller that features 1MB user memory, Dual RS232 communication port, Dual Ethernet Communication port and single USB port and integrated motion.
This controller is used for small to medium automation requirements. Up to Eight 1769 Compact I/O modules may be installed in the local bus with support of up to Three (3) I/O expansion banks.
This controller supports Two (2) software versions for creating and downloading user programs. For controllers with revision 20.xxx, use RSLogix 5000 V20. programming software. For controllers with firmware revision 21.xxx or later, use Logix Designer Version 21 or later. Either instances, the controllers user programming may be programmed with IEC 61131-3 programming languages such as Relay Ladder, Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Statement List (STL) and Function Block Diagram (FBD).
The RS232 port of this controller are assigned as channel 0 and 1 that can be operated individually. Channel 0 offers individual isolation while Channel 1 is a non-isolated RS232 communication port. The RS232 ports supports DF1, ASCII and DH485 communication with maximum speed of 38.4 kbps.
The ethernet communication port supports connection up to 16 ethernet nodes. The controller has an embedded switch therefore, the same network traffic is experienced on the dual ports of the controller. It uses only One (1) IP address. The 1769-L30ER features and supports Four (4) axes of integrated motion oven an Ethernet I/P network.
The USB connection provides a temporary connection. It may be used for first time download or first firmware flash.
The controller has LED indicators such as RUN, FORCE, BAT, OK, I/O, DCH0, Channel 0 and Channel 1. These LED indicators are installed at the front panel of the controller to report the status and diagnostics represented by the corresponding indicator.
The 1769-L30ERM is installed on a DIN rail or mounting panel. Maintain 2 inches or 50 mm clearance on all sides of the controller for proper air ventilation and sufficient electrical isolation.
