Product Overview
The 1769-L32C is an Allen Bradley 1769 CompactLogix controller that features One (1) RS232, NAP and One (1) ControlNet communications port. It has 750Kbytes of user memory. Sixteen (16) compact I/O modules may be installed in the local chassis and up to 3 Compact I/O banks may be used as expansion I/Os.
The RS232 communication may be used with DF1 protocol, DH485 and ASCII communication. It may also be used to interface nearby Human Machine Interface (HMI) devices, typically those installed in the same enclosure. The same RS232 port may be used to download and upload user programs as well.
The integrated ControlNet communication port provides connectivity to the ControlNet highway. It may be directly connected to a ControlNet tap to access the information available in the ControlNet trunk.
The integrated user memory of 750 Kbytes may be expanded with the use of non-volatile memory with part numbers 1784-CF64 or 1784-CF128 CompactFlash card. These non-volatile memory add-ons has 64 Kbytes and 128 Kbytes memory respectively.
The Allen Bradley CompactLogix 1769-L32C are practical control solutions for machine level and plant floor automation requirements. Through the ControlNet port, it may be communicated to remotely installed HMI or SCADA systems while maintaining local control of machines or processes.
Use RSLogix5000 to create and download user program for this processor. Data files are accessible through the software via drag and drop or data file selection. The controller support tag-based and alias addressing. The controller supports Relay Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text and SFC programming languages.
