Product Overview
The 1769-OB32T is a high-density Compact I/O module compatible with MicroLogix 1500, CompactLogix controllers as local I/O or expansion I/O or DeviceNet (1769-AND) and Ethernet adapter (1769-AENTR) modules as remote I/O. Though high density, this module occupies only single slot in the CompactLogix chassis and MicroLogix 1500. This module ships with a 1746-N3 pre-assembled connector. This connector is a pre-assembled connector that directly latches to the modules input pins. This eliminate crowded wiring in the front-panel of the module. The other end of the module has a connector that can be easily attached with a remote PCB terminal. If using conventional terminal blocks, this connector may be cut to create flying leads. The wires are color coded. This module is especially designed for remote terminal applications. Alternatively, Allen-Bradley 1492 wiring systems can be alternately used with this module.
The module is composed of Two (2) input groups, each group having 16 input channels. The input groups operate independently in sourcing output configuration. The module can also be used with a MicroLogix 1500 controller as long as it is installed on a 1769 CompactLogix I/O bank.
Sourcing inputs refer to the current flow from the field device to the module. Terminate the (V+) of the incoming signals to the DC+ of the 1769-OB32T module.
Configure the 1769-OB32T with RSLogix 500, RSLogix5000 or Studio 5000 programming software. Module channel addresses in binary or integer form may be accessed using the software including the diagnostic status of each channel.
The modules required installation is within 8 modules from the power supply. There is no limit to the number of modules that can be used as long as the distance rating is observed. The module can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis.
