Adjustable AC Frequency drives are used to control speed of motors. This specific product model is especially designed for use with fan and pump applications. Adjustable Frequency AC drives may sometime be referred to as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or Variable Speed Drive (VSD).

This VFD has internal protection circuits installed however, it is recommended to use external protection devices such as 140M-F8E-C16 Allen Bradley Circuit breaker for branch circuit protection, Allen-Bradley contactor with part number 100-C23 and 20 Ampere fuse. Non-Allen Bradley products may be used as long as it within the specification of the recommended product.

This drive has integral I/O channels for integration to conventional hardwiring or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based systems. To implement basic speed control, the drive has an embedded Human Interface Module (HIM) with digital up and down keys to increase and decrease frequency. The analog input of the drive accepts 0-10VDC and 4-20mA which may be used as speed reference of the. Furthermore, an external potentiometer with rating of 1-10k Ohm and 2Watt consumption may be used.

In addition to the analog input, this drive also has Seven (7) Discrete Inputs that supports Sinking / Sourcing configuration. It also has One (1) Opto-coupler output and Two (2) sets of Form C outputs. Two (2) Analog outputs are also included.
