Product Overview
The 2711-B5A5 is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal that support point-to-point DH485 communication. This operator terminal functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) to allow process or machine operator to control a system from a common workplace.
By providing a real-time process visualization, effective control interface and reliable data exchange port, HMI devices increases control response time and enables standard approach to process events.
This operator terminal also supports alarm handling, screen security, universal language and multi-project configuration.
It has a dual input interface, the keypad assembly and touchscreen mechanism. The Keypad has Ten (10) function keys, numeric input, navigation and cursor control keys while the touchscreen has 128 touch sensitive cells. It is recommended to operate these input interface with a gloved finger for both or with a stylus for touch screen operation. The visualization interface is made of a 5.5-inch monochrome screen with a backlight rated for 100,000 hr operation.
Custom application developed with PanelBuilder32 software is executed by this operator terminal. Panelbuilder32 is a Microsoft Windows based application that allows offline configuration of PanelView application with test capability. The developed application is downloaded to the terminal and executed in the integrated runtime environment.
The 2711-B5A5 is energized by an AC power source with rated supply range of 85-264VAC and frequency of 47-63 Hz. The integral Random Access Memory (RAM) has a memory capacity of 170KB while the non-volatile memory is 240KB with expansion options using an ATA memory card. Other accessories is supported by this operator terminal such as anti-glare overlays, real-time clocks, interface modules and other components.
