Product Overview
The 2711-K10G1 is a Grayscale PanelView component used to increase the operability of a process by providing a custom designed user interface. The catalog number is included to the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family.
The 2711-K10G1 belong to the subset category PanelView 1000. It features pre-installed components including Black/White monochrome screen, Keypad operator input and Remote I/O communication.
Though the 10.4-inch screen with display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) and VGA resolution of 640 x 480, process is visualized. The screen displays the process data and information which guides the operator to the appropriate control required by the process. Text displays, pop-up windows and system banners as well as object animation may display in order to provide the operator the information needed.
The embedded keypad assembly is the operators command interface to the control system. The keypad assembly is made of 16 Function keys, numeric keypad and cursor control keys. The keypad has a durable design with expected actuation times of 1 million presses. Only the functions Keys, F1 to F16 accepts variable function in the form of global and local functions. Global functions are Function key assignment that does not change. Local functions are key assignments that change depending on the active screen.
The Remote I/O (RIO) communication carries the data to and from the process using a 3-conductor wire, specifically Belden 6493 cable. The RS232 printer interface port is used to communicate to an alarm printer to prepare hardcopies of alarm records that may include information such as alarm description, alarm message, alarm source, alarm trigger and operator message. It has selectable transmission speed of 1200, 2400, 9600, 19,200 Kbps.
The 2711-K10G1 supports advanced alarm handling, universal language, multi-layer configuration and terminal screen security.
