The PanelView Standard Operator Terminal 2711-K5A15 is a PanelView 550 used for implementing Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions in the factory floor area. The HMI hardware features a 5.5-inch monochrome display capable of displaying mimic display of the machine or process being monitored and controlled. The integrated communication ports are ControlNet communication port and RS232 printer port for initiating print queues of alarm list and messages. Control and important operator actions are made using the Ten (10) Function keys (F1 to F10), assignable to trigger runtime objects and events. The 2711-K5A15 has rated input power supply range is 85-264V AC and input frequency of 47-63 Hz.
The 2711-K5A15 compact HMI hardware supports implementation of terminal and screen security. Security may be used for enabling and disabling access to important process parameters that may be modified by certain individuals. The Terminal support definition of users that can be assigned with simple password which can be a combination of characters.
The 2711-K5A15 also supports alarm handling that is typically made of active and historical alarms list. Trends, recipe management may also be implemented with this HMI terminal.
Install this HMI panel flush mounted in an enclosure rated NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65. More importantly, the enclosure must offer an adequate air flow and working space. Create the panel cut-out following the provided panel cut-out template.
Communication modules may be installed to the PanelView 550 terminal. Communication options such as Personal computer interface converter which converts RS-232 signals to/from DH-485 signals, Isolated link coupler for DH-485 network and MicroLogix advanced interface converter module enables data exchange to devices and connection to other industry standard protocol.
