Product Overview
The 2711-K5A16 catalog number belongs to the PanelView Standard Operator Terminal manufactured by Rockwell Automation. It provides a cost-effective Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution due its compact and modular design and capability to operate in 24/7 operation within an industrial environment.
This HMI terminal features a 5.5-inch monochrome screen with a backlight designed for 100,000 hr operation. An embedded keypad is installed to the terminal that functions as the input mechanism of operators, supervisors, maintenance and other designated personnel.
The terminal has an integrated configuration mode menu for parameterizing the unit, Under configuration mode, language selection may be selected - up to 46 language is supported, upload and download settings may be defined, serial communication parameters may be parameterized, configure screen and date / time parameters. Also included is the parameter setting for RS232 printer port.
When in runtime, the operator terminal features an alar mbanner that may be used to display alarms and messages as well as the hardwares status of operation, minor faults and numeric entry errors and operator instructions or prompts. This pop-up banner appears on every screen as long as a new entry is received.
The operator terminal is powered by an input source of 85 to 264VAC. It has an internal memory of 170KB and 240KB non-volatile memory. Optionally, the terminals memory can be expanded with the use of an ATA memory card with memory ranging from 2MB to 32 flash memory.
PanelBuioder32 software is used to develop applications that is executed by the terminal. This software in the common configuration software for PanelView Standard Operator Terminal.
