Product Overview
The 2711-K5A1L1 is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal that provides efficient monitoring and control interface between operator and machines.
The 2711-K5A1L1 is a PanelView 550 and functions as Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. In other designs, HMI may be called Operator Interface Terminal (OIT), Operator Terminal (OT) and Graphical User Interface (GUI). The 2711-K5A1L1 serves the same purpose of allowing operators control the machine or process through an electronic or computerized interface.
The 2711-K5A1L1 features a 5.5-inch monochrome screen especially designed to display graphic symbols, images, text and process elements grouped together to form a mimic of process or machine being controlled. Similar to conventional control panels, this HMI device has graphical and software versions of electrical components such as pushbuttons, switches, pilot lamps that are combined to form a user control interface.
These electrical components are activated with the use of Keypad interface that is made of Ten (10) assignable function keys, numeric inputs, navigation and cursor control buttons. Each of these keys or buttons are capable of up to 1 million presses.
This HMI hardware is manufactured with an integrated Remote I/O communication port that is used for data exchange between devices that is RIO communication enabled. RIO supports installation of long of communication lines using a Belden 9463 or equivalent 3-Conductor cable. Up to 32 devices may be connected such as PLC5 and SLC500 controllers or ControlLogix, CompactLogix and MicroLogix using a communication adapter or 3rd party converters.
The 2711-K5A1L1 rated power supply input range is 18-32 VDC, with a nominal input supply of 24VDC. The operators runtime environment is configured using the PanelBuilder32 software, the legacy software for developing applications for the PanelView Standard Operator Terminals.VIIIVThe 2711-K5A1L1 electronic hardware is a Human Machine interface (HMI) made by Allen Bradley.
