Product Overview
Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals includes the 2711-K5A5 Human Machine Interface (HMI) hardware. PanelView terminals are cost effective solutions for implementing accurate data display and monitoring and efficient, easy to use user interface to operate machine or process in the factory floor area.
This HMI device collect and consolidate data from a single or multiple process controllers and devices via the communication port. The purpose of collecting the data is to provide a group or individual view of relevant data via the configured HMI pages.
HMI pages are displayed on the 5.5-inch monochrome display that features a 256 X 128 pixel resolution and display area of display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.). This screen may be installed with an Anti-Glare component to improve view in overly lighted areas. This accessory is separately purchased and used only when needed.
Operator observes data from the HMI screen and uses the displayed information as reference for control action. If a manual control action is needed, operator initiates response through the embedded keypad with Ten (10) function keys, numeric input, navigation and cursor control keys.
The HMI hardware has an integrated Data Highway Plus (DH+). DH+ allows connection to single or multiple PLC especially compatible with PLC5, or SLC 5/04 controller, or ControlLogix System. 3rd party devices may be used as long as DH+ is supported by that device.
2711-K5A5 is typically flush mounted on a NEMA or IP rated enclosure. It requires a panel that provides appropriate electronic protection, adequate air flow for ventilation and adequate working space for maintenance and troubleshooting.
