The 2711-K6C1 is a PanelView 600 which belong to the PanelView Standard Operator terminal by Allen-Bradley. This rugged electronic hardware is used to interface process operator, machine users, maintenance and supervisors to the actual machine and process being controlled. Essentially, it allows real-time monitoring and interaction through the display screen and keypad input area.

The PanelView functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is typically installed in the factory floor area. It exchanges data to process controllers, gateway and devices and displays through the 6-inch color active matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen. It displays the data in a graphical view or text view as a minimum design. The colored screen has n integrated backlight that is designed to operate up to 50000 hr rated half-life. The screen has a resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. This terminal is energized with an input supply range of 85 to 264 VAC.

Operator control is introduced via the keypad interface which has Ten (10) function keys. The terminal has a built-in Remote I/O communication port which allows the operator to communicate over long distance using a Three (3) wire conductor. The RS232 is used for sending print signal to an alarm printer. Information such as alarm description, alarm trigger, source, state and timestamp may be included in the print.

This operator terminal has a built-in runtime environment. This runtime environment executes the application downloaded to the terminal’s memory. This application is developed with PanelBuilder32 software. The software is the common development software for the product family and covers the scope of development, testing, download and upload of application to the terminal.
