Product Overview
The 2711-K6C16 is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal form Allen-Bradley. This product line is a discontinued one that offers integration of factory floor installed controllers, gateways, converters and single loop controllers.
The 2711-K6C16 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that integrates the mentioned devices and provides graphical view of the machine or process being operated. It also allows the operator to enter control, command and data manipulation actions through a designated input area.
The 2711-K6C16 also supports implementation of colored graphics and animation which when utilized, may contribute to a more informative process visualization. Implement color codes such as RED, YELLOW and GREEN to represent device or equipment state or use the colored display to show process area, material, pipe color and attention-grabbing pop-up displays that can be seen from a short distance.
It has 5-inch color active matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen with a VGA resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. The front-panel keypad consisting of function keys, numeric input, navigation and cursor control keys serve as operator interface to the process. The function keys allow variable assignments while the other buttons have fixed tasks. The keypad is ideally operated using a gloved finger to protect from contaminant as the HMI is typically installed in the factory floor.
This operator terminal is powered with a voltage input of 85 to 264 VAC with a power consumption of 60VA. Proper wiring guidelines must be observed. Install this device with minimum wiring rule such as connection to individual branch circuit, individual breaker or fuse with a maximum rating of 15 amperes and separated power and communication cabling.
