 Product Overview

The 2711-T10C16 is a legacy product from Allen-Bradley under the PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family. This electronic component is used to increase the operability of a certain process or machine by proving a centralized, intuitive display and a user-friendly control interface in the machine level area of a plant.

The 2711-T10C16 functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI). It provides visualization using the
embedded 10.4-inch screen. The screen supports color animations, ideal for implementing color coded indications and nomenclature. It has 384 touch sensitive cells that make up the touch input interface.

The 2711-T10C16 supports DF1 protocol through the RS232 communication port. DF1 is ideal for communication over a relatively short distance. It can be configured for transmission speeds such as 1200, 2400, 9600, 19,200 Kbps. The second RS232 port is used for interfacing an alarm printer to enable printing of alarm lists and messages. Alarm list include an Active and Historical alarm while messages may include alarm description, time-stamp, operator message, alarm trigger and other information regarding the alarm. The terminal can perform data exchange and trigger program routines to partner devices such as Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, MicroLogix, SLC, CompactLogix), 3rd party products and devices that are DF1 protocol enabled.

PanelBuilder32 software is the configuration software for the 2711-T10C16 PanelView 1000 Standard Operator Terminal. Runtime functionality is designed using the software including the graphic screens which represent the real-time process mimic. An integrated runtime environment in integrated to the operator that does not require a license. The runtime environment executes the defined parameters configured in the PanelBuilder32 software.
