Product Overview
The 2711-T10G9 belongs to the discontinued PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family. This product family is used to implement Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution in the factory floor of different industries such as Mining, Pulp and Paper, Food and Beverage, Cement, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas and other industries.
The 2711-T10G9 is operated with a voltage supply range of 85 to 264V AC with input frequency of 47 to 63 Hz. It carries international certification such as UL, cUL/CSA and CE and approved for Class 1 Division 2 operation.
Install the terminal flush mounted on an enclosure that offers adequate protection in the electronic circuitry. Follow the panel cut-out template that is supplied with the terminal without scaling. Specifically, the panel cutout of the PanelView 1000 grayscale is 257 mm (10.11 in) for left and right side and 390 mm (15.35 in) for top and bottom. Consider the terminals installation depth of 97 mm (3.81 in.), 129 mm (5.06 in.) with memory card retainer, 220 mm (8.65 in.) with memory card retainer and clearance to insert and remove memory card.
This operator terminal has a 10.4-inch grayscale display with VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The screen is paired with Cold Cathode Fluorescent (CCF) Backlight that is field replaceable with Allen Bradley part number 2711-NL6, 2711-NL7, 2711-NL89 and 27-11-NL10. The screen also serves the input interface via the touch membrane installed with cells distributed in 24 columns x 16 rows with each cell measuring 26 x 30 pixels.
The dual RS232 functions independently. The first RS232 port is intended for communication to controllers that support point-to-point DH485 protocol. This port may be used to establish communication between a MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers. If connection to a DH485 network is planned, the Allen-Bradley 1761-NET-AIC may be used. Forpeer-to-peer communication, dedicated connection for high priority data is established.
