Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A15L1 is a legacy product of Allen Bradley for the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. The hardware is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) used by different industries to implement real-time operation interaction to machines or processes through the compact HMI hardware.
The 2711-T5A15L1 is a DC powered device. It is designed for an input range of 18 to 32 VDC is 18 to 32 Volts DC. The operator terminals power consumption is 18 Watts.
The 2711-T5A15L1 is designed and installed with 5.5-inch monochrome LCD blue mode display with built-in VGA resolution of 256 x 128 and display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.). The screen has an installed replaceable backlight rated for 100,000 hr operation.
Custom applications are created using the PanelBuilder32 software. This software minimizes engineering and development by providing offline development feature and test function. With these major features, an application may be made and tested without the need of an actual HMI hardware.
Operator responses are triggered by means of the Touchscreen interface. The touchscreen interface is made up of 128 cells capable of up to 1 million actuations. When operating this input interface, it is suggested to operate with a gloved finger or stylus with a minimum tip radius of 1 mm (0.040 in).
The PanelView terminal is equipped with a ControlNet port for data exchange between ControlNet devices. This protocol supports peer to peer or multi-drop configuration thus extending the control functionality of the operator terminal. A secondary RS232 port is included for sending alarm print queues to an alarm printer.
