Product Overview
The 2711-T5A3L1 is a PanelView 550 Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. This product is part of the Allen-Bradley PanelView Standard Operator.
This rugged electronic hardware is typically flush mounted on a NEMA rated enclosure or any equivalent panel that offers protection to the electronic circuitry of the device. This HMI hardware can be operated in an environment that maintains operating temperature of 0 and 55 degrees Celsius (32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit) and operating vibration rating of 2 g up to 2000 Hz.
The HMI hardware is downloaded with a custom application that meets the operating sequence of a machine or process being controlled. Custom applications are developed using the PanelBuilder32 software. This software allows development of applications to be executed by the terminal without the need of the actual terminal. It includes a variety of design and test options which is an important tool to lessen troubleshooting and commissioning period. Applications may be downloaded or saved to a memory card to be automatically loaded to the terminal each time the terminal is power cycled.
The unit has A 5.5-inch Monochrome LCD blue mode display with a resolution of 256 x 128 is installed in the terminal and a backlight life of 100,000 hr.
An integrated DH485 communication port to communicate with DH485 enabled devices and network. A secondary RS232 communication port is installed for printer interface. This port can be used to send alarm print queues, automatically or manually through a tag trigger or event.
The 2711-T5A3L1 is a touch operated HMI device.. This Touch interface is made up of 128 cells with an actuation lifespan of 1 million presses. It enables direct operator input by pressing on the corresponding screen object to trigger control, events, functions and initiate system dialogs and acknowledge alarms and messages.
