Product Overview
The PanelView Plus Standard Operator terminal with part number 2711-T6C5L1 is an Allen Bradley product which belong to the sub-category PanelView 600 terminal. It is a scalable hardware that supports add-on components to improve and enhance functionality. This PanelView terminal has an integrated with single RS232 communication port that is configured for DH485 point-to-point communication.
This operator terminal functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. HMI devices are used primarily to implement rea-time interaction between operator and process or machine. It increases monitoring and control efficiency and reduces risk of downtime and prevent unsafe operation by preventing local control that may constantly expose the operator or user to unwanted element such as noise, vibrations and chemicals. With the use of HMI devices, operation can be done on a convenient and safe location.
This operator terminal is operated using the touchscreen interface. This touchscreen is made of a touch membrane that has 128 touch sensitive cells capable of up to 1 million actuations.
The display area that is used as the process visualization is a 5-inch Color active matrix TFT Display, with VGA resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. This operator terminal has Random Access Memory (RAM) and Non-volatile memory amounting to 190 KB application runtime utilizing the RAM and 240 KB nonvolatile memory intended for application files and the HMI application file itself.
The terminals custom application is developed with PanelBuilder32. with part number 27110-ND3A. It is powered by a DC input source with rated range of 18 to 32 VDC with nominal supply of 24VDC.
