 Product Overview

The Allen Bradley Panelview Plus 1000 with part number 2711P-K10C4D6 is an operator terminal that allows real-time monitoring of a machine or process.

This product is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that features a 10.4-in. Colored display screen. It supports implementation of color-coded graphics to indicate state of devices and machine and depict conditions of instruments and quality of signal.

This HMI terminal has Ethernet and RS-232 communication primarily used for data exchange between process controllers and automation components. This HMI terminal is especially compatible with Allen-Bradley products but may also be used with 3rd party devices.

Process control is achieved via the Keypad used to input information and data. The keypad has Thirty-Two (32) function keys. These keys are programmable using the FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition.

Ensure proper installation of the HMI is observed as well as implement a regular preventive maintenance to the hardware. HMI part that may be given priority with maintenance is the display modules or the entire front panel that is exposed to the system as this HMI is flush mounted to an enclosure.

The display module may be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution. Ensure that the device is cleaned when the system is not operational or not in a ready mode. Operational risk is higher if this is done while the process is ready as a slight touch to the screen or any of the buttons may trigger the process to start.
