 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K10C4D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. It belongs to the subset category of PanelView Plus 1000 terminals that features a 10.4-inch colored screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.). The screen is operated with a replaceable backlight with part numbers 2711P-RL7C for series A and B and 2711P-RL7C2 for series C and D. The screen has adjustable brightness to improve visibility in poorly lighted areas.

This HMI has Thirty-Two (32) programmable function keys intended for operator interface to the process. This is where control commands, system navigation and functions are entered. These keys are may be configured with varying functionalities that changes from screen to screen. It may also be configured to perform a specific function that does not change. Some of these functions are alarm acknowledgement, specific tag triggers, sequence activation, setting devices to auto or manual and many other possible functions.

The 10.4-inch screen presents graphic display in colored pixels. Colored display may be configured to depict status of a device or plant depending on the color standards. This is helpful in processes as it allows operator to observe the process with some distance maintaining overall insight to the state of the process.

This HMI has 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB nonvolatile memory. It is also built with an integrated Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB ports which may be used to communicate with automation devices simultaneously without conflict.
