The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K10C4D9 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. This operator terminal accepts applications created with FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition software and pre-loaded with Windows CE 6.0 Extended feature software for terminal management and FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime for runtime environment.

This operator terminal is basically a Human Machine Interface (HMI) which allows control and visualization of process from a single location through an intuitive display environment. It features a 10.4-inch colored screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.). It has an embedded keypad assembly that consists of Thirty-Two (32) programmable function keys. This device has an expandable 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB nonvolatile memory. It has an integrated Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB ports for communication to process controllers.

Aside from the already mentioned pre-installed software packages, This HMI also runs a FactoryTalk ViewPoint that allows any user to viewthe HMi graphics from the ViewPoint dashboard using a web-browser.

The pre-installed extended feature of Windows CE features file viewing capability for Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word documents and a Wordpad editor. These are additional features on top of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), VNC client / server, Active X control which is included in the basic version.

Advanced alarm handling may also be implemented with this HMI terminal by utilizing the development software’s library of alarm templates such as an alarm banner that is used to display events, system diagnostic and alarm. Active and Historical alarm templates are also available for displaying such type of alarms. VIIIVThe 2711P-K10C4D9 is a PanelView Plus 6 Terminal from Allen-Bradley.
