 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4A8 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) with integrated 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM) and Nonvolatile memory. It also fitted with an integrated Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB ports for communication to automation devices in the field or factory floor. It has an input power requirement of 100 to 240 VAC input supply with 220VAC as the nominal supply. This product belongs to the PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal and specifically falls under the PanelView Plus 1250 operator terminal.

The process is being monitored through the HMI’s process visualization screen measuring 12.1-inches diagonal, with resolution of 800 x 600 in 18-bit color graphics. Control made by the operator is introduced via the keypad assembly that with F1 to F20 and K1 to K20, navigational and numeric keypad.

This HMI terminal has is installed with Windows CE 6.0 software for that is used in defining the device operation settings, system settings and file management settings. This Windows CE version is a standard version only which support File Transfer Protocol (FTP), web browsing, remote log-in, active X control, windows media player and other functionalities. Windows Ce also brings some user-friendly Windows tools such as command prompt, control panel, disk management, file explorer and other windows tools.

This HMI supports external storage to complement the internal memory of 512MB Flash and Random-Access Memory (RAM). These optional storage devices can be a secure digital card or an external USB drive that attached to the terminal’s USB 2.0 port.
