Product Overview
The PanelView Plus product with catalog number 2711P-K4M3D is a 24VDc powered PanelView Plus 400 operator terminals. This operator terminal is the successor of the PanelView Plus Standard Operator Terminal family. Both products, however, are both discontinued and available as spare part only.
This operator terminal mainly functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device in the process and factory automation requirements and other emerging industries. It boasts of an enhanced set of features while maintaining the same ruggedness and operability.
It provides flexible communication options through the embedded DH485 communication port, RS232 and USB connection ports. DH485 communication port is compatible for establishing connection with DH485 devices in the network. This type of connection is capable of multi-partner data exchange while still maintaining support for a single partner communication. It can be implemented in long distances as it follows RS485 topology. The RS232 is used for point to point communication within short distances as it supports DF1 and point to point DH485. The USB communication ports may be used to connect external peripherals such as a keyboard or mouse.
This HMI hardware has a dimension of 152 x 185 x 90 mm (6.0 x 7.28 x 3.54 in) The operator terminal require panel mounting to a NEMA rated, UL rated or IP rated enclosure. It has an integrated battery that may last up to 5 years minimum at 25 °C. The internal clock is battery backed up with Battery-backed, +/-2 minutes per month. The operator terminal has an internal memory of 5 MB and support external memory addition of up to 512 MB maximum.
Process interaction is accomplished through the keypad interface that is capable of up to 1 million actuations. When operating the keypad, maintain an actuating force of 340g and use only 1 finger or a gloved finger. Never press multiple keys at the same time as this may render the terminal to an unpredictable operation.VIIIVThe 2711P-K4M3D is an DC powered PanelView Plus Terminal from Allen-Bradley.
