 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T10C4D6 is a automation component that that belongs to the PanelView Plus operator terminal. This product is used to implement Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution in different industries.

This HMI terminal has a visualization screen measuring 10.4 inch with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. It has a colored screen that may be utilized for implementing color coded process mimic. Operator control input is accomplished using the integrated analog resistive touchscreen capable of 1 million actuations.

The 2711P-T10C4D6 is powered by an input voltage of 100 to 240VAC with nominal supply value of 220VAC and frequency of 60Hz. The integrated memory of the HMI hardware is 128 MB Integrated Flash and 128 Random Access Memory.

Data from process controllers and operator inputs are sent and received via the communication port integrated with the terminal. These Communication interfaces are Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO), DH485, Ethernet and RS232. The USB communication port is especially intended for attaching external peripheral devices such as a keyboard and mouse for additional operator input interface. DH+ and RIO utilizes the same cable, Belden 9463. DH485 communication protocol uses a different wire and supports RS485 topology. Ethernet communication utilizes a category 5 or Category 6 cable. RS232 is used for peer-to-peer communication of devices and may be implemented in short distances.

Custom application is downloaded with the use of FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition software. It is also used as the software to create detailed process mimic and intuitive user interface.
