The 2711P-T12C4D9 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal that features a 12.1 inch Colored screen with resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, Analog resistive touch input area, integrated Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB communication port.

This PanelView Plus 6 terminal specifically belongs to the subset category of PanelView Plus 1250. It is used to integrate and consolidate data from controllers and other partner devices for monitoring, control and manipulation purposes.

It has a built-in support for an extended version of Windows CE Version 6.0. With the extended support, HMI capability such as Internet Explorer web browser Remote desktop connection Media player Microsoft file viewers for PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and WordPad text editor is enabled. These features are useful during HMI operation as it may be used to open user manuals, data logs, alarm reports and remote access. These extended features may be combined with the basic features such as FTP server, VNC client/server, PDF reader, Active X controls and Third-party device support.

The 2711P-T12C4D9 acts as a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The device application is not limited to machines as it is compatible also for use in different industrial processes. Data is integrated by establishing connection to the devices in the filed through the integrated communication ports, Ethernet, DH485, RS232 and USB. The variety of communication port provides flexibility and options. The DH485 and RS232 are ideal for legacy devices while the Ethernet is for more modern devices with ethernet capability. This HMI hardware is especially compatible with any Allen-Bradley PLCs. It may be used with PLC3, PLC5, SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix. If integrated communication is not compatible, additional communication adapter may be installed.
