The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C4D2 is a Human Machine Interface Device (HMI) which belongs to the PanelView Plus Operator Terminal. This device is used to provide real-time monitoring and control of machine and processes in the factory floor.

This HMI device is flush mounted to a NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 rated enclosures. Use the panel cutout template that ships with the device to create enclosure cutout. Ensure proper spacing for adequate air flow as this device has thermal dissipation of 240 BTU/hr. This device is a scalable hardware as it supports installation of add-on modules.

This product accepts a custom designed application made with FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition. This software is separately purchased used to create a custom visualization and user interface in accordance to the required design and control inputs of the process. This software allows offline configuration and testing without the need of the actual hardware. The accomplished application is downloaded to the HMI device through the built-in communication port. The HMI hardware is included with FactoryTalk Machine Edition runtime that is used to run the application. This runtime environment does not require activation.

This terminal is operated with the use of an analog resistive touchscreen rated for 1 million presses. The Colored graphic display supports implementation of informative graphic through color coding. This color codes may be used to depict status of an equipment or device. The graphic display measures 6.5-inch diagonal, 640 x 480 pixels resolution and display area measuring 132 x 99 mm (5.20 x 3.90 in).

A variety of communication ports is embedded into this HMI device. It has an Ethernet port that is ideal for a remote HMI installation. The DH485 port supports communication in daisy topology, ideal for legacy devices and controllers. The RS232 port is ideal for local communication interface, typically within the panel communication. The integrated USB port is designed for external peripherals such as a keyboard and mouse for additional input area and USB hub for port multiplexing.

This device is powered by an input supply range of 100 to 240VAC with nominal supply value of 220VAC and frequency of 60Hz.
