The adjustable AC drive with part number 1305-AA012A-HA1 is a used to implement speed control of an AC induction motor. By controlling the speed, the induction motor may now be used in control systems or processes that requires modulating control rather than ON/OFF.
This adjustable AC drive belongs to the bulletin 1305 product family. This drive is designed for operation in 3-Phase input Voltage range of 200-230VAC with Frequency of 50-60Hz, output current of 12.0 A, output frequency of 0 to 400Hz and output voltage from 0 Volts to input Voltage. Applicable motor rating is 2.2 kW (3.0 HP).
Adjustable Frequency AC drives such as this 1305 drive are delivered with a Human Interface Module (HIM) or basically a keypad that is installed with an analog dial connected to Potentiometer. The primary function of this front mounted component is to allow the user or commissioning personnel to enter the drive parameters to configure and define the drives operation. Configurations are kept within the drive register and accessible via function codes. This drive is capable of being defined with multiple profile sets which may be triggered to change depending on the state of the plant or the process sequence it runs. Aside from configuration, the keypad is also used for operating the drive locally.
Typical to frequency drives, I/O terminals are embedded to host the Input and output channels. These are installed to control the drive using hardwired signals. These hardwired signals are used to trigger the parameters defined using the keypad.
To perform the primary function of controlling the speed, the drive may be wired with a 4-20mA or 0 to 10VDC signal source. Signal sources may be a loop simulator, analog output of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or an output of a loop controller. The signals generated by these devices is wired to the analog input and configured for speed reference. Furthermore, a Potentiometer 0-10k Ohm may be wired to a dedicated potentiometer terminal to control the speed as well.VIIIVThe 1305-AA12A-HA1 is an adjustable AC Drive with 3-Phase Voltage Input rated 200-230VAC, motor rating of 2.2 kW (3.0 HP) and output current of 12.0 A.
