 Product Overview

The 1305-AA012A is a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) that belongs to the discontinued 1305 Adjustable AC Drives product family. This drive is designed for operation in 3-Phase input Voltage range of 200-230VAC with Frequency of 50-60Hz, output current of 12.0 A and motor rating 2.2 kW (3.0 HP).

Additionally, the drive’s input kVA is 4.6, Power Factor displacement 0.8 lagging and efficiency 97.5%.
Install this with ground connection terminated to the GRD terminal of the drive. Mount the hardware inside a NEMA Type 1 / IP30 Panel and maintain temperature of maximum 50 deg. C. Never mount the drive horizontally as this may affect the convection cooling of this hardware. Consider also that the power dissipation of this drive is 180W. To ensure proper air circulation, maintain Top and Bottom clearance of 50.8 mm and side clearances of 76.2 mm. Cooling fan is not required however, consider plant specific conditions to decide if additional cooling or heating system is needed.

This adjustable AC drive is a legacy product and already discontinued. This is available only as spare part item. The drive may be migrated to PowerFlex 40 or 22B series drives.

The 1305-AA12A has Eight (8) Discrete Input, Two (2) Discrete Outputs, Two (2) Analog Inputs and One (1) Analog Output. Discrete inputs may be assigned to START / STOP, JOG, FORWARD/REVERSE, LOCAL / REMOTE signals. Speed reference, which dictates the motor’s speed usually come from a potentiometer with a rating 10k Ohms or from an analog output coming from a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The Discrete Output of may be used to provide VFD RUN and Fault status. The analog output may be allocated as speed feedback.
