The 1762sc-OF8 by Allen-Bradley and Spectrum Controls is an 8-Channel Analog Output Module and is part of the MicroLogix 1200 Series of controllers. It has 8 V, C outputs and has a 16-bit resolution. Current output ranges for this hardware are 0 to 20 milliAmps and 4 to 20 milliAmps. Voltage output ranges are 0 to 5 Volts, 1 to 5 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, and ±10 Volts. Thermal dissipation for the 1762sc-OF8 is 4.9 Watts (maximum). Advanced features on this controller include selectable data formats; PID, engineering units, raw count, and percent of range. Settling time is ˂1 millisecond to 63% of full scale and output overvoltage protection is +24 Volts DC for one minute. Output accuracy is ±20 mV at 25 degrees Celsius and ±50 uA at 25 degrees Celsius. Environmental conditions for the 1762sc-OF8 include an operational temperature between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius; relative humidity is 5% to 95%, non-condensing.
To mount the 1762sc-OF8 onto a DIN rail, first you must mount your DIN rail, ensuring that the placement of the module on the DIN rail meets the required amount of spacing. Next it is important to make sure that the DIN latch is closed. After this, it is time to hook the top slot on the module on the DIN rail. While pressing down on the module along the top of the rail, secure the bottom part of the module into position. It is important that the installer leave the protective wrapping on the module until the wiring process is complete. The 1762sc-OF8 can be mounted to EN50022-35x7.5 or EN50022-35x15 DIN rails. To remove this hardware from a DIN rail, first place a flathead screwdriver inside the DIN rail latch, located at the bottom of the controller. Next, holding the controller, pry in a downward motion on the latch until the latch is locked into its open position. Repeat the previous two steps for the second DIN rail latch, then unhook the top of the DIN rail slot from the rail.VIIIVThe 1762sc-OF8 by Allen-Bradley and Spectrum Controls is an 8-Channel Analog Output Module and is part of the MicroLogix 1200 Series of controllers.
