Product Overview
The 1769-L35CR is a Modular CompactLogix 5370 L3 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) controller. This programmable controller has an available user memory of 1.5 MB, integrated communication ports of 1 ControlNet, 1 RS232 that supports DF1 or ASCII protocol.
The 1769-L35CR supports installation of Thirty (30) 1769 Compact I/O modules, 3 Expansion I/O banks with 2 expansion cables. It has a power supply distance rating of 4 modules and supports programming and configuration using RSLogix 5000 programming software.
The controller is supplied with default firmware revision of 1.x. This revision must be modified to match version of your RSLogix5000 software instance. For example, should you have RSLogix5000 software, version 13, upgrade your CompactLogix controller firmware to revision 13.x. This firmware revision is executed with the use of a stand-alone free software from Allen-Bradley called ControlFlash. The method of modifying the pre-loaded firmware is called Firmware Flashing.
The controller support memory enhancement with the use of 1784-CF64 or 1784-CF128 Industrial CompactFlash card to add nonvolatile memory. Non-volatile memory is used to prevent erasure of the download user program, the non-volatile memory keeps the files inside without the need of a battery to retain its contents. When the controller is configured to load the user program from the non-volatile memory, the controller boots and use the user program in the non-volatile memory.
Aside from ControlNet port as the primary communication option, the controller has an integrated RS232 port which is configurable for ASCII, DF1 and DH485 communication.
