The 1769-OF2 is an Analog output module from the Compact I/O product family used with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers. It has Two (2) output channels configurable for 0-20mA, 4-20 mA, ±10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 1 to 5Vdc. The modules resolution varies according the configured signal output. Resolutions available are 14 bits (unipolar), 14 bits plus sign (bipolar) ±10V DC: sign + 14 bits, 0.64 mV, 0
10V DC: sign + 13 bits, 0.64 mV, 0
5V DC: sign + 14 bits, 0.64 mV 1
5V DC: sign + 14 bits, 1.28 ?A 0
20 mA: sign + 13 bits, 0.64 mV 4
20 mA: sign + 14 bits, 1.28??A.
Analog outputs are used to drive modulating control elements. This analog output module may be used to produce direct command through a specified input, from a scaling instruction or from a Proportional Integral and Derivate (PID) output. The produced output may be used with modulating control element such as valves, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), indicators, data loggers or recorders and other devices. Analog output allow multiple points and control with high accuracy and precision. The module has a Digital to Analog converter (DAC) circuit that converts the stored digital data from the CPU to analog signal to be put on each of the output channels.
Configure the module using RSLogix500 when used with a MicroLogix500. When using CompactLogix processor, configure the module using RSLogix5000 or Studio5000 programming software.
Install as many 1769-OF2 as required with reference to the power supply distance rating of 8 modules. More advanced CompactLogix processor may support more than 16-30 module in the local chassis. Should more than 8 instances of 1769-OF2 is needed, an appropriate system or bank power supply is required.
The module can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis. Install the module by locating the guide slots of the adjacent module. Slide the module and establish alignment of the bus connectors. Once bus connectors are aligned, move the bus lever to the left until a clicking sound is created.
VIIIVThe 1769-OF2 is a compact I/O analog output module. It has Two (2) channels capable of sending voltage and current output. The output signals may be used to drive modulating actuators and devices.
