The 1769-OF4VI is a Compact I/O module compatible with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix family of controllers. This module has Four (4) differential output channels configurable for ± 10.5V dc, -0.5 to 10.5V dc, -0.5 to 5.25V dc, 0.5 to 5.25Vdc. Each channel provide isolation so as not to affect individual operation. Each channel can be operated with different power sources.
Differential wiring configuration is based on the difference between two signals. Analog outputs are used to drive modulating actuators and devices. The module has a built-in Digital to Analog converter that converts the Digital data format stored in the CPU to Analog signal. The module generates a unique data table for each instance of installation where the channel addresses, module mode bits, module state and other runtime parameters are accessed. Data formats are initially configured using the hardware configuration interface of RSLogix500 when used with a MicroLogix500 controller, RSLogix5000 or Studio5000 programming software when used with CompactLogix controller. Data formats available are Raw / Proportional data, Engineering unit, Scaled for PID and Percent full range. Other important parameters offered by the module include enabling of channels, output range selection, module inhibition, module description and slot assignment.
The module can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis. Install the module by locating the guide slots of the adjacent module. Slide the module and establish alignment of the bus connectors. Once bus connectors are aligned, move the bus lever to the left until a clicking sound is created.
Install as many 1769-OF4VI as required in a MicroLogix 1500 controller or CompactLogix chassis with reference to the power supply distance rating of 8 modules. More advanced CompactLogix processor may support more than 16-30 module in the local chassis. Should more than 8 instances of 1769-OF4VI is needed, an appropriate system or bank power supply is required.
VIIIVThe 1769-OF4VI is compact I/O analog output module. It has Four (4) isolated channels capable of sending current Voltage signals in the form of 0-20mA and 4-20 mA. The output signals may be used to drive modulating actuators and devices.
