The 1794-IB16 is a Sixteen (16) channel Discrete input module. This module belongs to the 1794 Flex IO product catalog that is used to implement distributed IO solution. This module supports DIN rail mounting and compatible for use with any Flex IO communication adapter.
The 1794-IB16 is used together with a terminal base. Compatible terminal base for this module include 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3K, 1794-TB3SK, 1794-TBKD and 1794-TB37DS. The terminal base has the IO wiring and power terminals that is used to interface with fields devices and to power up the attached module to it.
This modules circuitry is energized by power present in the backplane rated 30 mA @ 5V DC. The input channels are capable of receiving a voltage range of 10 to 31.2 VDC with nominal input voltage of 24VDC. This module supports sinking configuration. It has a minimum On-state voltage of 10VDC and maximum of 31.2VDC while the maximum OFF-state voltage is 20VDAC.
The module has an adjustable input filtering to allow tuning of input signals. Input filtering may help to prevent false positive and negative detection thus, improving accuracy of the system. Input filtering may be modified through the programming software or via a user program that modifies the input filtering registers.
this module measures 94 x 94 x 69 mm (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 in.) and weighs 74 g (2.61 oz.). It has Sixteen (16) Yellow indicators to provide feedback status of instruments.
Depending on the controller used, detailed configuration and programming may be accomplished using RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000 and Studio 5000 Logix Designer. VIIIVThe 1794-IB16 is a Flex IO Sixteen (16) channel DC input module. This module can be fitted with any 1794 Flex IO adapters to implement distributed I/O application.
