The 1794-IR8 is an electronic module that belongs to the Flex IO product family. This module is used to interface RTD instruments from the field to allow direct connection to this module. It has Eight (8) channels compatible for 2-wire and 3-Wire RTDs.

This module has an accuracy of 0.01% Full Scale, using enhanced mode and 0.05% Full Scale, with normal mode both under low humidity.
This Flex IO RTD module exhibits an upscale reading if an open circuit is detected. This behavior must be considered as part of the systems safe operating condition. Appropriate alarm for open circuit detection must be triggered and operational alarms such as High and Very High levels must be inhibited if an open circuit is detected. Most importantly, if a shutdown sequence will be triggered when Very High Temperature is reached, inhibition logic must be prepared with the Programable Logic Controller (PLC).
There are Three (3) terminals bases that can be used with this module. These are 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3 and 1794-TB3T. These terminal bases has internal connections that is compatible for different configurations of RTD such as 2, 3 and 4-wire RTDs.
