 Product Overview

The 1794-IT8 is an electronic module that is used for Temperature measurements. This module is designed to accept Thermocouple and mV source inputs. This is a cost-effective module that supports grounded or ungrounded thermocouples. Use this module with a Cold Junction Compensator with part number 1794-CJC2 when in Thermocouple mode.

This module features Eight (8) Thermocouple input channels. It may be used with a variety of Thermocouple sensors such as Thermocouple Type B 300 to 1800°C (572 to 3272°F) C 0 to 2315°C (32 to 4199°F), E -270 to 1000°C (-454 to 1832°F), J -210 to 1200°C (-346to 2192°F), K -270 to 1372°C (-454 to 2502°F), XK/XK(L) -200 to 800°C (-328 to 1472°F), N-270 to 1300°C (-454 to 2372°F), R -50 to 1768°C (-58 to3214°F), S -50 to 1768°C (-58 to 3214°F) and T -270 to 400°C (-454 to 752°F). It also supports mV input source with a rated range of 76.5 to +76.5mV.

This module has a resolution of 16 bits (2.384?V typical), Accuracy of 0.025% Full Scale @ 24 °C (±0.5 °C) with filter and 0.05% Full Scale @ 24 °C (±0.5 °C) without filter. This module has an integrated open circuit detection capability. When open circuit is detected, the module responds by displaying an out of range reading upscale.

The module’s dimension is 1.8 x 3.7 x 2.1 mm. It is used with terminal base. The terminal base houses the module and provides connectivity through the power and input terminals. Compatible terminal base for the module are 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3T and 1794-TB3TS.
