Product Overview
The 1794-OB32P is a Thirty-Two (32) channel electronically fused 24VDC output module. Each channel is self-protected grouped in 2 of 16 channels. It belongs to the Flex IO product catalog that is used for energizing electrical devices or Final Control Elements (FCE) such as indicators, relays, solenoid, audible alarms and other components. This module can be operated with separate voltage sources.
The 1794-OB32P is especially designed with short circuit, overload and over temperature protection installed in every channel. A faulted channel automatically returns to normal if fault or error has been corrected.
This protected output module requires a terminal base to operate. Terminal bases are used by the entire Flex IO product family to serve as the mounting and wiring hardware. Without the terminal bases, the 1794-OB32P cannot be used. There are only Two (2) terminal bases compatible for this module. These particularly are1794-TB32, 1794-TB32S. terminal base.
This module does not include a processor to communicate with controllers. As Flex IO family are primarily designed as distributed IO modules, this module is always used with a communication adapter. All Flex IO adapter support 8 modules max in its local chassis with the exception of 1794-ASB2 that only supports Two (2) Flex IO modules. The Flex IO product family also has a controller product which is the FlexLogix Controller that also supports installation of 1794-OB32P or FlexLogix Local IO extender (1794-FLA).
This module operates at a Voltage category of 10 to 31.2VDC output. It has a nominal Voltage output of 24VDC. Each output are individually fused with minimum ON state current of 1.0 A and maximum of 500mA, 8A per module. VIIIVThe 1794-OB32P is a Flex IO Sixteen (32) channel 24VDC sourcing output module. This module has an integrated protection for each output channel. This module is compatible for use with any 1794 Flex IO adapters to implement distributed I/O application.
