The 1794-OW8 is an Eight (8) channel Relay output module which belongs to the compact and modular Flex IO product family. This module may be used in different voltage categories as it provides 8 Form A or normally open contacts or dry contacts. Dry contact refers to a powerless switching element. This module is capable of 2A current rating and voltage category of 220VAC and 125VDC.
External fusing is recommended to be applied to each channel of this module. It may be accomplished by connecting to a fused terminal block or with the use of a fused terminal base such as 1794-TBNF. Compatible external fuse for this module is 3.0 A. 250V AC slow blow fuse or Littelfuse with part number 239003 or any equivalent.
Relay output modules are typically installed or utilized in applications with unknown voltage categories or devices that do not belong to a group of defined output groups. Devices with unknown voltage categories are typically encountered in new installation or systems where electrical components are not yet selected as-built documentation are not available. Electrical components not compatible to the existing voltage source may also use a relay output module. It may operate with 110 / 220VAC, 24VDC, 5VDC as long as it is connected to the proper common terminal.
This output module has minimum contact load of 100 ?A @ 100 mV DC; Relay output rating 250V AC, 2 A, 50/60Hz, Resistive; 120/240V AC, 50/60Hz,1800V A Make, 180V A Break; 5
30V DC, 2 A, Resistive and Pilot Duty Rating of R150, 5...30V DC, 28V A not to exceed 1 A below 28V DC.VIIIVThe 1794-OW8 is a Flex IO Eight (8) channel Relay output module. This module has contact rating capable of AC and DC voltages. It is compatible with any 1794 Flex IO adapters to implement distributed I/O application.
