 Product Overview

The 1794-TB2 is a terminal base intended for use with Flex IO modules. This terminal base is used to provide module attachment through its integrated locking mechanism. It is also used to allow module installation to a DIN rail or mounting plate and acts as the wiring terminal for both signal and power wiring.

This terminal includes parts such as Female Flexbus connector, Terminal base unit, Male Flexbus connector, Keyswitch, Mounting holes, I/O and power terminals, Locking tab and Lock latch.

When installing this terminal base, inspect the 16 pins male connector if aligned or straight and adjacent to the next device. Female connector must be fully retracted. Position the device to the DIN rail and rotate onto the DIN Rail with the rail top hooked under the lip at the back of the terminal base. During this step, ensure that the female Flexbus connector do not hit any of the mating connector pins.

This Terminal base has Three (3) groups of terminal stirps. Group A consists of terminals 0 - 15, Group B for terminals 16 - 33 and Group C has terminals 34 - 51. This terminal provides power connections. Chassis grounds are located at terminals 16, 33 and 38 while chassis ground for shields are found in terminals 40 to 45.

This terminal base is compatible for voltage categories 24 VAC / VDC and 120 VAC / VDC. Recommended wire size for this module is 0.21 to 1.3 mm² (24 to 16 AWG) stranded copper wire rated at 75 °C (167 °F) or greater, 1.2 mm (3/64 in.) maximum insulation.
