 Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley Adjustable Frequency AC drive with part number 20AD040A0AYNANC0 is a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or sometimes referred to as Variable Speed Drive (VSD) is designed to provide solution to speed control requirements of a process. Aside from speed control, this drive is also capable of implementing the typical basic control functionalities with minimum wirings needed.

It is designed for operation with input voltage rating of 3-Phase, 480VAC with output Power Rating of 22.0 kW (30.0 HP and High Current output of 40.0 A. This drive’s output voltage is 0 to 460VAC and frequency is 0 to 500 Hz. This drive supports Panel mounting to a IP20 / NEMA UL Type 1 rated enclosure.

This drive is installed with an I/O control block that is designed to accept signals from electrical and electronic components to operate the drive. It is also configured with an enhanced function which has a Basic Parameter, Advanced parameter, Monitor and Motor Control Files.

Drive Parameters are grouped based on function levels and the parameter grouping which includes Monitor, Motor Control, Speed Command, Dynamic Control, Utility, Inputs and Outputs. By grouping of parameters this way, using the Human Interface Module (HIM) as configuration device is made easier.

This drive supports different stop modes to promote proper shutdown and safety. Available Stop modes are Ramp, Fast Brake, Flux Braking and DC Brake, Coast and Ramp to Hold. Deciding on which stopping method to use depends on the nature of the load the drive is controlling and operational safety. VIIIVThe 20AD040A0AYNANC0 is a PowerFlex 70 adjustable frequency AC drive.
