 Product Overview

The 20AD5P0A0AYNNNC0 is a PowerFlex 70 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive that is used for implementing motor control such as speed control, ramping, acceleration, deceleration, Start / Stop, Local / Remote, Auto / Manual, Jog, Forward/Reverse. This drive has an integral IGBT brake.

Hardwired control systems may only be used with discrete motor functions. With the use PowerFlex 70 drive, analog and modulating functions may be implemented without the need of complex hardwiring. With less wiring, system is easier to troubleshoot.

This drive has an output Power Rating of 2.2 kW (3.0 HP), output current of 5.0 amperes, output voltage of 0 to 460VAC and frequency of 0 to 500 Hz. Applicable Input Voltage for this drive is 480VAC, 3-Phase.

Panel mounting is the intended installation method for this drive. It has built-in internal protection however, external protection is recommended to protect the drive from power disturbances and noise External protection devices include line reactors, isolation transformers, fuse and contactors for branch circuit protection.

Cycling ON and OFF the input line contactor to switch off the motor must never be practiced with this drive. This may cause damage to the drive itself. Instead of doing so, provide start and stop signal by triggering the appropriate signal in the I/O terminal block. In some cases, especially if the drive will be idle for a very short period of time, setting the frequency to Zero (0) Hz will technically stop the motor.

This drive may be configured with the use of Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Connected Components Workbench (CCW) and DriveTools Sp software.
