The 22A-A9P6N103 is a PowerFlex 4 with an input Voltage rating of 180 - 265 VAC, 1-Phase and Output current rating of 9.6 Amperes and Power of 2.2 kW or 3.0 HP, unfiltered emission class, without IGBT brake.

Adjustable Frequency Drives are also known as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and Variable Speed Drives (VFD). However it is called, using this device enables speed control through frequency variation. Frequency variation may come from a local source such as the built-in Potentiometer installed at the keypad, an external source such as a remote potentiometer or an analog input with range or 4-20 mA or 0 to 10VDC.

This drive supports direct integration to Logix based controllers via the premiere integration feature. It simplifies integration to control system and minimizes engineering tasks. It promotes Improved ease of usability, Reduced development time, simplified device mapping and configuration, Tag aliasing of specific drive register, Library of instructions, Application resources and enhanced productivity.

When premiere integration is initiated, rive parameters may be kept in a data arrays. These data arrays contain the drives parameters and settings. When a specific trigger in the PLC is activated, an array may be sent to become the VFD’s operational parameters. This way, the VFD may be operated in multiple modes and dynamically adapt different scenarios of the process.

When powering up this drive, ensure that the internal capacitors are drained. Isolate the main supply first and discharge the capacitor for Three (3) minutes. Do not depend on the LED display as it may show a darkened display however, it does not mean that the drive capacitor’s are discharged.

It has a Fixed keypad that can be utilized for out of the box configuration. The keypad has a 4 digit display with additional 10 LED indicators. Remote handheld and Remote keypad are supported by this drive.

This drive has a built-in RS485 communication port which enables fast and easy integration to Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Use Modbus RTU protocol to directly communicate and access drive parameters. Configurations may be sent and receive using this communication protocol.
