 Product Overview

The 22A-V2P3N104 is a PowerFlex 4 drive that is used to implement speed control of AC motors. Aside from speed regulation, this drive enables a discrete controlled motor to be used in more accurate control systems and advance control strategies. It supports hardwire integration for conventional and software integration for computer-based control systems. In more modern implementation, both conventional and computer-based integration is utilized simultaneously.

PowerFlex 4 Drive may be used for the purpose of controlling the speed of machine tools, pumps, conveyors and material handling systems. This specific part number 22A-V2P3N104 features 1-Phase 100 - 120 VAC input voltage having a 3-Pahse output ranging from 0-230VAC, 2.3A current output and 0.5 HP or 0.4 kW power output.

When mounting this drive, install it inside an IP20 / NEMA UL Type Open rated enclosure with minimum enclosure volume of 1655 square inch. This drive has power dissipation of 40 Watts.

For Power Wiring, an Allen-Bradley motor protection circuit breaker may be used with part number 140M-C2E-C16 and contactor 100-C12. Any 3rd party equivalent electrical component may also be used. This drive belongs to Frame Size A wherein power terminal block may be used with 0.8 mm2 (18 AWG) to 3.3 mm2 (12 AWG) wire size range.

It also has integral I/O terminals that includes 24VDC Sink / Source Discrete Input, 3 Fixed for Start / Stop / Reverse command and 2 Fully programmable inputs, Two (2) individually isolated Analog input compatible for 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 10 VDC signals that may be used as speed reference and 1 set of form C contacts, Normally Open and Normally closed contacts.

For I/O wiring, it is recommended wires include Belden 8760/9460 or Belden 8770. 3rd party equivalents may also be used.
