Product Overview
The 22C-D017N103 is a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or sometimes referred to as Variable Speed Drives (VSD) that is used to vary the speed of an AC motor. This product specifically belongs to the PowerFlex 400 Adjustable Frequency AC drives. This product is specifically made for fan and pump applications. This drive is designed for a 3-Phase, input Voltage rating of 380-480VAC, Output Voltage of 0-460VAC, rated output Current of 17.0 A and Power of 7.5 kW (10.0 HP).
Do not use this drive to operate Two (2) or more motors. Theoretically this is possible but not an ideal set-up. Also, if using the Proportional + Integral (P+I) functionality, ensure that personnel with knowledge with PID controllers and tuning is implementing the algorithm. An improperly tuned drive may cause more harm to the drive instead of prolonging its operation lifespan. P+I is only implemented in modulating control. To further protect the motor, configure the ramp-up time of the motor. The ramp up time allows the motor to increase its speed per time duration. This prevents the drive from commanding the motor rise form o to 60 Hz or vice versa or to any speed in short period of time. The acceleration and deceleration time may also be configured to aid especially in start-up and shutdown operation of the drive. Acceleration acts as additional protection when the motor is building up speed while deceleration act when motor is decreasing speed. Operation hours may also be tracked within the drive which may be a reference to maintenance schedule and record.
