Product Overview
The 22D-D1P4N104 is an Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation product that is used for implementing AC motor speed control. This electronic hardware is a PowerFlex 40 Adjustable Frequency Drive that aside from allowing speed control, eliminates complex wiring, promotes energy savings and increases control efficiency and accuracy.
Input power line connection for this drive must be a 3-Phase, 380-480VAC. Voltage range. This drive should be able to provide an output of 24.0 A and power of 0.4 kW (0.5 HP). The drives output phase is 3-Phase as well with a voltage range of Zero (0) to the rated voltage range, that is, 0-480VAC.
This drive supports panel mounting installation. Use enclosures with Ingress Protection (IP) IP20 or equivalent National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) UL Type Open ratings.
Modulating the speed of an AC motor allows the operator to increase of decrease the material transfer rate or the flow rate within a pipe, if the drive is used for pumping application or conveyors. Flow of air may be increased if the motor is used as the actuator of fans, louvers and damper in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) applications. Pressure control for vessels or pipeline header. Injection of chemicals such as caustic soda and acid solution in water or sewage treatment plants and many other applications.
Use of PowerFlex 40 drives in these applications is not only enabled by the speed control capability. It is also through the integration capabilities and methods supported by this drive. Integration may be done through the I/Os in the control terminal block or communication highway. Both these feature allow the drive to be used as the Control Element in a automatic control loop. This drive has a Voltage Input rated 380-480VAC, 3-phase and output Voltage of 0-460VAC with rated Current of 2.3 A and Power of 1.5 kW (2.0 HP).
