Product Overview
The 2711-B6C5L1 is a 24VDC powered PanelView 600 that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device. This HMI hardware belongs to the discontinued 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals product line. This electronic hardware has a rugged and compact design, compatible for use in the factory floor where dynamic environment and demanding applications are continuously existing. It is typically installed in a convenient area that is easily accessed by process operators or machine users.
The 2711-B6C5L1 is a scalable device that allows installation of add-on components to enhance and improve operation. These components may be installed anytime without impacting the process state. Components such as anti-glare overlays, interface modules, function key legend inserts, real-time clock, ATA memory card and communication cables.
The HMI device is designed to be supplied with an input voltage range of 18-32 VDC. It has an internal memory of 190 KB designated for application runtime and 240 KB for nonvolatile memory. It is fitted with a6-inch color active matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen with VGA resolution of 320 x 234 pixels and display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). Process modification and control is achieved via the Keypad and Touch interface. Ten (10) Function keys support local and global assignments while touch operation enables direct interaction to the operator terminal. The touchscreen is has 128 cells that are arranged in columns and rows.
The terminal has dual integrated RS232 ports that individually support DH485 and printer communication. DH485 is an industry approved protocol that may be used as direct communication highway for PLC5, SLC500 and ControlLogix controllers. This protocol may also be used with 3rd party devices. The secondary RS232 printer port support advanced alarm handling function specifically, communication with an alarm printer. This is PanelView Standard Operator Terminal that is rated 24VDC, features a 6-inch display, embedded keypad and touch input area with RS232 port for DH485 communication.
