Product Overview
The PanelView Standard Operator Terminal with part number 2711-K10G16 is a PanelView 1000 used for implementing Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions in the machine level area of an industrial process. It increases operation consistency as it may be designed to have similar control approach to specific events, increase process operability by remotely controlling process including high-risk process and improved operator response time through the consolidated information display.
It has a rugged design that enables it to withstand 24/7 continuous operation. It has been approved for operation in Class 1 Division II process areas and certified by UL, cUL/CSA and CE.
The 2711-K10G16 is designed for installation in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only) IP54, IP65
rated enclosures. It is powered by 85 to 264 VAC rated voltage supply with power consumption of 55 VA maximum. It has internal circuit protection such as fuse and diodes however, external protections may be installed such as surge suppressors, fuse, circuit breakers and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) may be used to protect the device.
The operator terminal is fitted with a Monochrome screen with diagonal measurement of 10.4-inch. It has a display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) and VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The screen has a backlight unit is installed with an operation half-life of 50,000 hr. Process inputs and interaction such as activating objects, triggering events and other operator control actions is accomplished through the embedded keypad with Sixteen (16) function keys capable of 1 million actuations.
Dual RS232 ports are installed with the terminal that functions as the primary communication port and a printer interface. The primary port supports DF1 protocol for peer-to-peer communication while the secondary RS232 serves advanced alarm handling function by allowing print command to be sent through it.
