The 2711-K10G20 Human Machine Interface (HMI) device is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal is a PanelView 1000 installed in the machine level area of different industry serving wide variety of applications in the Process and Machine Automation scopes. The operator terminal has a rugged design carrying UL508, CSA and EU certifications.

The 2711-K10G20 has an integrated Ethernet I/P communication terminal that can be used in horizontal and vertical integration in the industry. Horizontal integration includes communication between compatible partner devices in the machine level or factory floor while vertical integration refers to the ability to send data to higher automation systems such as SCADA and Databases residing in the Supervisory and Enterprise level. A secondary RS232 port is installed for alarm printing applications which can be used to print alarm records containing information such as alarm descriptions, messages, timestamp, current user, alarm group, alarm source and other parameters for documentation and analysis of the system operation.

The installed 10-inch Grayscale screen provides process view by hosting the configured screens. It has a display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) and VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Operator control actions is introduced using the Sixteen (16) function keys that may be linked with software pushbuttons, images, systems functions such as alarm acknowledgment, initiates sequence and many other functions. Also installed in the front panel of the terminal are numeric, navigational and cursor control keys.

Process mimic design and terminal runtime configuration is prepared using the Microsoft Windows compatible PanelBuilder32 software.
